I love Dartmoor and miss it greatly now I no longer live on its doorstep. There are areas of wild remoteness where access is only by a lengthy and well equipped tramp while there are areas of seeming remoteness that are in reality only a short hike from a road. Here I just loved the way the road (a main one by moor standards) just disappears out of sight. If I had my way all roads would disappear for real on Dartmoor leaving nature to reclaim what is rightfully hers!
