We left early one morning to take a trip on a dead end road towards Yala National Park. Most people who go on this dusty, rutted track hire a jeep. Not us. We hired a guy with a tuk-tuk who, we found out after we left, had a partiality to smoking a bit of weed. Still, along with the patches where we had to get out and push, it all added to the crazy excitement of the day trip. This photo was taken early in the relative serenity of cooler early morning air and before the track was......well not really a track anymore. Our tuk-tuk driver was happy to stop anywhere so seeing this water buffalo in this pool was the first of many stops throughout the day.
