Volume Two - Sri Lanka

This photo was taken for a post-tsunami recovery project based in Madampagama on the south west coast of Sri Lanka. The project is a joint effort between The Sustainable Trust in the UK and The Centre for Environment and Development in Sri Lanka. For more details on this project click here.

This little girl was mischief personified! For some reason she took a particular liking to me and trailed after me every where she could whilst I was shooting in the village. It's sometimes difficult trying to take shots whilst a little girl demands to hold your hand, tugs on your hair and chatters away in Sinhalese seemingly demanding answers to her questions! However, she was pretty cute regardless and a natural poser. Her grandmother was delighted with this shot when I took it and so, on returning home, I made sure of sending copies; as I did with most of the shots I took of the relevant villagers.
