Volume Two - Cornwall

Crantock is separated from Newquay by the Gannel Estuary. At low tide a small footbridge is revealed along with beautiful sand banks. Here I loved the shape of this one sand bank jutting into the river and into the foreground. I was also attracted by the texture of the footprints in the sand and the shades of wet and dry sand. I love the fact that this is such a temporary landscape where humans are only allowed access as and when nature permits. The rest of the time, by the way of the incoming tide, any such intrusion is washed away on a daily basis and the small footbridge hidden under the water.
