Volume Three - California and Alaska

We were actually at this location looking for a geocache.  Geocaching is the worldwide activity that involves looking for an object (traditionally a container full of left objects but there are variations on this theme) with the use of a GPS.  You log your visits to various ‘caches’ on a website and it is a great way of finding places that you wouldn’t normally know exist, especially in foreign lands but even sometimes on your doorstep.  For those who think I am an anorak, visit www.geocaching.com and give it a go.  I think you will find some fun in it and maybe even become addicted.  Anyway, there was a cache hidden by this land stranded boat and we found it very easily but I was more excited by the lovely colour of the boat against the background succulents.  My grandmother used to say that ‘blue and green should never be seen’ but I always disagreed with her and have always seen the combination of the two colours as very pleasing and in fact a very natural occurrence (green grass and blue sky).
