Volume Three - California and Alaska

I was initially drawn to the light on this shot. Then I realised what was happening in it and that it was much more than just light that made this interesting. So let’s get a sense of scale here, if you haven’t already noticed. In the bottom left hand corner are some tiny dots; they are skiers. Those faint little lines on the surface are the ski tracks made by those skiers. Those skiers are absolute nutters. Seriously you should have seen them coming down that mountain side; it wasn’t slow. This is however Alaska where extreme has a completely different meaning than it does in Cornwall.
