Travelling is sometimes more about the experience than the delight. In California you do end up in some areas that are not as delightful but they still have a beauty that results from the experience that you had whilst you were there. I quite liked Santa Barbara but it had a kind of concrete beauty. This shot summed it up. It was an industrialised paradise; if that is at all possible. I’m not convinced but you can’t blame the palm tree for trying.
