The Chick is the large rock that sits out from the end of the headland between Crantock and Holywell. We go there quite a lot to watch the seal colony on the rocks between the mainland and the Chick. It is a great spot to watch the sunset from too. The Chick is also home to a large amount of seabirds making the surface of the rock seem like it is alive. Here the ‘backbone’ of the Chick is lined with gulls as the sun slips behind the horizon, signalling it is time for us to make the walk home.
