Birds amaze me how they manage to turn their heads around 180 degrees and tuck them into their wings on their backs. What is even more amazing about pelicans is that they seem to be able to hide most of their huge bills at the same time. I don’t know why but this also looks a bit vulture like to me, with the shadow adding to the sinister feel too.
