Volume Three - Wildlife

This bird looked familiar and after identification, it revealed why. I had seen egrets in India and Sri Lanka either at the feet of grazing cattle or even sat on the back of cows, waiting for disturbed insects to fly their way and provide the next meal. I didn’t realise they were in California and the absence of a cow confused me but here they were searching the surf for food. I seem to have a thing about getting approaching waves in shots at the moment and here is another example. Although the egret is reasonably interesting enough, the wave really adds to the interest of the shot.
