Volume Three - Wildlife

Contrary to popular belief, this is not a photo of a couple of stuffed dogs on a wall! When we were in Alaska we were fortunate enough to have the chance to go dog mushing as my sister’s friend has a team who practice at a nearby course. I had read quite a lot about the Iditarod, the huge race that takes place every year in Alaska, so it was amazing to experience just a tiny fraction of what it is like to sit behind a team of dogs when they running. Here a couple of dogs wait, in a purpose built kennel truck, for their team to finish the course in the hope that it will then be their turn for a run.
