I tried and I tried on many occasions to capture the amazing spectacle that is the pelican plunging headfirst into the ocean. This was the closest I got. I needed a larger lens and I needed a lot of time and a lot of patience to sit there until I had got the shot. As I had none of these things on this occasion, this was the best I could do. Still, it kind of gives the idea of how amazing it is to watch and just how high they dive from.
