Passed these kids today, their smiles as radiant as the sunburn on the back of my neck. They were using a dried up palm frond on a rock as a ‘rocking horse’. A fibrous crack signalled the end to the game as the frond broke amid peels of infectious laughter. A simple game had brought simple joy to everyone proving that kids will be kids the world over.
