Elizabeth’s stall is amongst the small group of women who sit selling their fruit at the north entrance to the beach. We pass each day and are beckoned over to the stalls of colourful fruit where the women wait, machetes in hand, to split coconuts for us with skilful strikes and peel mangoes with delicate precision.
