I never did care much for cities. Not even Paris could lure me with its statuesque pale stone buildings towering shoulder to shoulder above romantic tree-lined walkways. Tall buildings make for dark streets gasping for sky amongst the coffee stained tables and the argumentative traffic. I’m best off with the birds, the noise turned down to a hum and poised like a fascinated child with a stick over an anthill.
